Welcome to Lexicon Issue 4

You may have noticed a big difference this issue, that's right we've shrunk! After a year of going for the full on, blam, in your face look we wanted to tone it down to this new handy size.

Don't forget to check out alongside some of the featured scene's pioneers and new labels the 'Stop Esso' campaign, clothing company Savage Lond, newly established internet radio station Ruud Awakening and if you were lucky enough to receive one of our limited edition cover mix CDs you can find out more about the DJ responsible for this as well as the usual news, reviews and world scene reports amongst other things.

We have a couple of new additions to the Lexicon fam this time around. First up is Mike Kaila who will be a contributing writer and reviewer; the critical reviews of Lurch will also be with us from now on; Phil Jameson will be exploring the social consiousness with some 'food for thought' issues; Olly waters (check out the Sound In Motion article) will be aiding the growing review section and last but by no means least we welcome Trixta from Wolftown recordings and Nu Directions fame telling us what's what in the world of UK hip hop.

In the first issue of the new year we are set to introduce a very special guest writer who many will say is a cultural institution in his own right... so keep it peeled for that.

But it doesn't stop there... we are still looking for contributors, whether your knowledge of music lies in drum n bass, house, nu skool breaks or hiphop... So don't hesitate, if you feel you got what it takes get on my case, and hit me u[ with your emails.

If you would like to secure past or future copies of Lexicon you can do so through the Nu Urban Music online shop here We know this will certainly make a few far away readers happy at least!

Enjoy>
